Want Cheaper Healthcare?

Post by Martin Hash »

No liability
No drug advertising
No unions
Don't require an M.D. (most nations do not)
No woo
More residencies, and allow residencies outside of hospitals
No profit motive

I feel like we’re missing the other half of the sandwich board that the crazy guy is wearing.

"No liability" and "no profit motive" are pretty general statements.

What do you mean by those concepts? I don't know how to agree or counter-argue without knowing in general what those mean.

I'm definitely interested in cheaper healthcare.

No monetary incentive to sue. Doctors lose their license or are put in jail.
No "investors."

Ah, so we’re still licensing doctors, they just don’t need a MD.
Can I have a license?

Who makes restitution to an injured patient? Serious question.

And no "investors," does that mean state ownership. Because that sounds like state ownership of the means of production.

Many hospitals have no investors: religious (St. Vincent’s), fraternal (Shriners), charitable (Miami Children’s), non-profit (Kaiser).

Most nations have undergraduate degree medical schools.

I’m against liability of all kinds: no so-called restitution.

“Doctors” in Britain do not have an MD after their names, and British surgeons aren’t even called “doctor.”

So who gets a doctor license?
As I said -can I have one?
I took two weeks of combat life saver medical training in the Army back in ‘96.

People who went to Medical School, which in Britain & elsewhere can be entered right out of High School. Also, they pay for it.
