Meuller gives the all clear, carry on; done and done, GOP did their due dilligence, nothing to charge anybody with, moving on...
... anybody tries to bring it up in the future, they can just hold Mueller up as a shield, that's why they picked him, running against Mueller's reputation is a losers bet, Mueller is there to give the all clear, neutralizing this line of attack from the Democrats once and for all.
We will see later what comes out of it.
Anyway, many Trump haters have vouched for Mueller, noted how experienced his staff is and been very upbeat about him. So then it would be at least for them difficult to change the rhetoric. I've seen only a few articles that have been doubtfull about Mueller.
The only true risk is that Trump will fuck up himself so badly as only he can (and as his family can, as we have seen). Because the Russian side is a tough nut to crack and they don't sloppily discuss these things on emails and be so blissfully ignorant about security (as like uh, the DNC has been).
Yet I think that Mueller doesn't care a shit about the Republican/Democrat fight here, but likely is more focused on shielding the reputation of the FBI and the Intel Community. Even for Mueller to think about what would be
politically expedient will get him neck deep into a pile of shit as happened with Comey. One's you go there, you are toast. Mueller's there representing the establishment which doesn't care so much if the dems or the GOPsters are in power.
Well I don't think it's the case that Bob Mueller doesn't play the game and is not a political animal, clearly he is, based on the widespread and egregious shenanigans going on during the Bush Admin, including at the FBI, and Bob Mueller doing jack shit about it, going along just to get along at the very least, active participant at worst.
As for Trump blowing himself up, I agree, that's the only risk for Trump, only Trump can bring himself down, any other parties trying to bring Trump down, is only going to cause Trump's supporters, and even people who are skeptical of Trump but open to the agenda articulated by him, to simply rally around him all the more and double down, not for Trump per se, but for what the electorate voted for, which is really what is in play here, it's not Trump, it's the will of the electorate v. the Washington insiders, and if the Washington insiders continue to try to waylay the election, I think that's going to backfire spectacularly.
