Harvesting the wheat with a 1950s binder.

NICE

So the binder has a sickle bar mower that cuts the wheat and then it binds it into sheaves ?

Yes. Paul sits on the binder controlling the height of the sail and where it ties the twine. The wheat falls onto a canvas conveyor belt which moves it to the binding mechanism.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

That was good. I take it that guys a cop. Even the cops say, don't talk to cops.

I know in my state if you (can) warn an aggressor or burglar that you are armed and will shoot if they continue, your not likely to have much trouble.

I and my wife each had to ready our weapons one time in our lives(seperate incidents). Both times the cops were really good about it. Neither of us had to fire though.

Guys, it's crunch time. Stock up, do it soon.
Inflation is rising stupid fast, think of it as investing early on growing stocks.

It's the old Grizzly bear thing. I don't need to be the fastest, I just need to outrun the slowest guy.

You don't have to be super prepped and have a deep larder. Just have enough to outpace the average folks.
Don't put your family through the stress of not being able to get shit.

2 is 1, 1 is none.
Buy yourself insurance and peace of mind while you can.

It's been a busy year.
Garden did well this year. We canned 175 jars of various stuff. I have 200 lbs of spuds in the root cellar.
The biggest improvement to the homestead is a dedicated meat processing room. I built a walk in cooler last Spring.
So far I've butchered a beef and a deer. But the pace is going to grow quickly. I have beef, 2 hogs and planning on about a half dozen wild animals, Antelope, Deer, Elk.

I have it set up pretty good. I have a propane RV stove in the room to heat water and a sink to keep everything clean. I bought a new grinder and improved my old meat band saw. The system is working well. We butchered a deer taken with a bow at 65 yards a few days ago. 5 hours, from hanging carcass with hide on, to finished packaged meat and sausage.
