Alberta is basically the Russian Steppe. I'm actually surprised that Edmonton got as big as it has.
country music, folk music, cowboy music all comes from the same place and is about the same type of people.

yeah, Western Canada is a frozen wasteland in winter, and a buggy swamp when the snow melts
