Adam Peaty in my old discipline in the swimming, 100m breaststroke.
Peaty hasn't lost a race for 7 years and has the 15 fastest ever times. 19 out of the fastest 20. Only man to ever go under 57 seconds. There's only one other guy who's ever gone under 58 seconds.
When I won my club's championships it took me 1 min 33 seconds and that was only 100 yds not meters.
This would be the biggest shock ever if Peaty doesn't win.

Well that was easy.
Won by 0.6 seconds against the greatest ever field assembled for a 100m breaststroke race. The five fastest ever at the event were in this race and it was never in doubt.

If you need a panel of judges to decide who wins it's more of an art than a sport IMO.

There is great aesthetic beauty to high-level athleticism.... something the Greeks understood. Synchronized swimmers are capable of athletic feats you and I can hardly imagine, and they deserve a venue like the Olympics to showcase those feats.

I mean, the Olympics used to have competitions in poetry but they ended up dropping that so I don't see why we can't get rid of ice dancing.
