Romania Vs Sweden about to start. UEFA Euro qualifiers about to wrap up. If Sweden wins we are in the main tournament.
Good luck.
We qualified yesterday by winning our 1000th international match 7-0 at Wembley. This means we go forward as group winners with a game to spare.
Good for you. We are in the same group as Spain so we are going for second place.
Well let's hope you don't meet the same team in the quarter finals as you did in last year's World Cup.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.
Good luck.

England is my second team in international tournaments so that just means I'm sure to have a favourite in the semi.
England is the Leafs of international soccer.

Robert Quaison scores! 2-0 Sweden after 35'.
Nothing can go wrong now...

Famous last words.
It was a joke Danny Baker (the guy sacked for tweeting the monkey in a top hat photo in reference to the royal baby) used to make about his beloved Millwall FC.
The inference being (as you point out) that overconfidence is fatal. A lesson I learned the hard way in the recent Rugby World Cup final.
What superstitious people like Capps would call a jinx.

I always expect to be disappointed. Safest route.

Whether you are a pessimist or an optimist has no influence on the outcome but an optimist has a better time in the waiting.
