Dunno. What exactly is a roadster? You Brits keep imposing on us weird terms like coupe and sedan but most of us don't really know the difference. At least I am unsure of the difference at times. I think I got coup down maybe. We just use terms like 2door and v8.
A roadster is a small 2 seater sports car, often with a small engine but lightweight and with good handling.
Anything from an E-type Jag to an MG Midget.
Dad had a 1000cc Midget in Singapore which he used for auto-tests (short tight courses made up with cones) lots of handbrake turns, slaloms etc.

We call that kind of course autoX
Dad used to call them driving tests but auto-test is the more modern term. He ran the Singapore driving club which was all ex-pats, mostly servicemen.
30 years later I was going out with this posh girl whose father was posted to Singapore as a nuclear submarine officer. Her mother had raced against Dad in her Cooper 100, she still had a newspaper clipping of a race she had won and Dad was 3rd.
When I mentioned it to Dad his excuse was that the Cooper had a bigger engine.
