Yes, but the people's car was saved by an English Major during the occupation. He got production going again at the bombed-out factory at Wolfsburg and saved the company in order to re-establish transport and communications in the rubble of the 1000 year Reich.

Yep, 4X4 I remember seeing on BarnFinds.com a couple years ago. Cool story, the old cobb ran that route from the 40's into the 70's with it. At least 3 of them although this is the only one still working.
No mention of 4 wheel drive and there doesn't seem to be any sort of front diff' or drive shafts.
