As to guns, well, it's illegal to buy "assault weapons" in CT unless they're "grandfathered" in, and you need to have your carry permit, or a "long gun certificate" to buy any gun or ammo even. Or at least legally anyways, as we all know none of that stops criminals. All of that started after Sandy Hook.
