Facial expressions are fantastic.
That dog's never going to like cricket now though...
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

The Varsity Blues Scandal claimed it's first victim today. Felicity Huffman, who I'm told is an actress got a couple weaks in the pokey and some restitution I'm guessing.

Here's a list of the 33 parents charged
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/college-ad ... 019-05-16/

My question as a taxpayer who funds higher education I have a lot of questions.

Where the fuck are the charges against officials of these Universities?
Where are the fines against the Universities?
Where are the athletic program punishments against the teams ?
Where are the calls for the administrators of these universities to lose their jobs ?

These wasn't just some bad parents, it takes 2 to tango boys. They got the johns, WTF is happening to the Street Whores ?

Generally agree. The chick got 14 days, to me that's not a big deal. My problem is that we have University officials that are selling access, and they are not being charged. In at least one case, it involved a womens volleyball team.

Now why wasn't that team punished for recruiting violations ?

I dunno. If they were poor/middle-class I'd agree, slap them with a financial penalty and some community service or something, probation for a year and done. But these are people with $millions, a financial penalty might hurt but more likely their expensive lawyer will get it down to "slap on the wrist" amounts (or it'll be blasted to the media as "excessive"), they usually find a way to make community service a joke (they won't be picking up trash in the parks), so maybe a few weeks in jail will help send a message?

I agree the universities should also have some penalty though, might be harder to prove "what they knew" or how involved they were though.
