If Rome were destroyed, the Pontiff would move to Latin America, or a remote chance of Africa somewhere. The main gravity of the Catholic demographic is in the Americas, now, however. Africa comes in pretty strong behind that. Asia is actually getting pretty huge. Europe is basically dead.
