I don't claim anyone who disagree with my opinion is a tasteless idiot, but Kath is a tasteless idiot, who stops watching the three greatest tv drama's of all time while rewatching GoT and lashes out at anyone who criticizes her baby. Not that there's anything wrong with rewatching GoT, but to do that instead of watching Breaking Bad, The Wire and/or The Sopranos, that's just bad taste in TV, plain and simple. She also likes Voyager the most of any Star Trek, and it's by far the worst series of the bunch.
Stop. Just stop. Not appreciating the same genres that you do does not make me a tasteless idiot. Genre should not be the end all and be all, if you can't enjoy Breaking Bad, The Wire and The Sopranos, that's just poor taste.

(In the television thread, after I watched DS9, I declared it my new favorite. Any show that has 7 of 9 cannot, by definition, be the worst of the bunch. Definitely had the worst holodeck episodes, though.
If genre effects your tastes in television to that degree, you are a tastelss idiot.

Alright, you've seen the light on DS9, except you still overvalue Voyager. I like Seven of Nine, but she doesn't elevate Voyager above any other Star Trek series, though she does elevate Voyager above how bad it could have been without her. At the same time though, her presence did cause Voyager to do too many Borg episodes to give her more time to shine and turned the Borg into just another villain by beating up on them with a tiny dinky little ship every few weeks. Also almost all of Voyager's new species sucked and they had to lean way too heavily on the Borg to make up for it, DS9 on the other hand killed it with the new alien species thing and didn't even need the Borg, except in the first episode.

Told you DS9 was the best. But don't take my word for Breaking Bad, The Wire or The Sopranos, I obviously don't know what I am talking about.....

I'm surprised that you are shocked that people can agree on some things, while not agreeing on everything? I've given all those shows a chance, and they failed to appeal to my tastes. It's hard to take you seriously when you love watching men fighting over who can get into the gayest position. Might be a man sniffing another man's crotch for sex; might be men trying to make it look like they are smelling another man's crotch for sport. Hard to tell, really, unless the picture is captioned.
Why are all the Gods such vicious cunts? Where's the God of tits and wine?

See I can trash on MMA better than you ever could, but that doesn't mean I hate it. Criticizing something you enjoy doesn't mean you hate something.

If you can't enjoy Breaking Bad, The Wire or The Sopranos, that's just shitty tastes in television, I don't care what your genre preferences are, if you can't get passed them for those shows, your taste in TV is garbage. I have genre preferences too, but I don't let them spoil great televisions shows for me, just because it's genre isn't usually my cup of tea.

Me saying that Breaking Bad, The Wire and The Sopranos are the greatest ever TV drama's has literally nothing to do with my genre preferences, people with entirely different genre preferences widely consider those shows the greatest of all time if they have watched them in their entirety. If I had entirely different genre preferences, those shows would still be far and away the greatest tv drama's regardless of genre. People don't just like those shows because they love crime drama's way too much, if you got that impression, you couldn't be more wrong.

You can enjoy those shows regardless of your genre preferences, unless of course your taste in TV is trash, that's what makes them so great, not that you would know because you didn't even give them a chance. If you won't take my word for it, take the word of everyone else on this forum who has watched those shows in their entirety, they'll tell you the same thing.

If you take a leap of faith and invest your time in those shows, you won't be sorry, if you don't, then your loss.

I am both a tv nerd and star trek fan, mea culpa. I can discuss them in great detail and don't withhold valid criticism, even of things I greatly enjoy, and that rankles the fanboys of certain television shows, but fuck them and the overly sensitive horse they rode in on.

How do you know that? It looked like a classic chipped stone dagger to me.

If it was just a chipped stone dagger, it wouldn't have slain the white walker. That's how she knows that.

So Episode 1 was alright...

Is Jon Snow gonna try to get Daenarys to bend the knee...

Changing who wears the pants in a relationship is pretty tough once dominance has been established.

Not sure where this is headed...

But it would be boring if I did.

Circe wants to wear the pants but Iron Island pirate boy seems to have wormed his way into her pants...

I like GOT... and I'm not embarrassed to admit it... well maybe a little bit.

GoT is a decent show, not the most consistent show, especially after Season 4, but it's big moments are pretty dope, and when it was more consistent it was really good. Easily one of the best shows on TV during those earlier years.

Is it as good as the ratings and the shows legions of fanboys suggest? Fuck no. Is it as bad as the haters claim? Fuck no. I will take both of them to task if they peddle that shit in my presence.

Chipped obsidian looks like chipped flint, except it's black. It does not look like a cast dagger. The hound's axe looked fragile to me, a glass axe head should look more like a wood splitting wedge.
