Yes. Because they think they have the right to tell me what I can and cannot do with my body. That's my bigliest deal breaker in terms of where they differ. My super bigliest issue is the 4th amendment/privacy/porn-o-matics at the airport... stuff like that. The two parties are very closely aligned on that. So the controlling my body thing is a biggy.
There is this thing called nuance, and there is a point were nuances do not matter.

Both parties are corrupt, lying, back stabbing, political whorish weasels, but yes, personally I think the Democratic Party is the slightly lesser evil, if for no other reason than some actually expect the government to function, are willing to throw some bread crust to their inferiors, and are not as divorced from reality as the Republican Party.

However, here is were nuance means not much. I'm being offered the choice between Ebola, or the Black Death, or maybe Malaria. Some would say, but yes, malaria is less likely to kill you, you will just suffer on and off for years. However Ebola, and the Black death are more likely to kill you, but you recover in months, instead of decades with Malaria.

Who cares? All will still kill you horribly, or make you wish you were dead.

That is what these parties are to me.
Oh shit I missed this

I wish she still thought I gave a fuck about what she thought so I could ask her why it's ok to abort viable fetus girls.

I'm for self determination of nations and cultures. I prefer that nations do not invade others as part of that determination.

My point is, what does Mexico look like today if we keep in place the rigid immigration rules that say FDR had in place in the 30s and 40s. Is Mexico able to or forced to establish their own economy strong enough fully support their nation, does Mexico find a way to control their own population explosion ? Perhaps Mexico be more of an ally like Canada ?
The upper caste likely wouldn't have fled when their socialist Liberation Party nationalized their industry (oil is still nationalized and they can't refine shit, oh and their Liberation Party has been in power ever since,) and they would likely look better. We have leftists on both side of the border Fucking everyone over tbh.
I personally believe our lax immigration policy has prevented the much needed revolt in Mexico that is over due, be it peaceful of violent.

If we wanted to do one thing good for both the US and Mexico we should ally with Mexico and take down the drug cartels. Not that it would fix the drug issues in the US, but it might give the Mexican government back to the Mexican people.

Whenever a reformist movement, party, or candidate appears to be getting successful south of the border the American government, using the intelligence services, and the military, destroys it, and puts in power dictators, and oligarchs, who will stay bought, and compliant.

The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

That's a respectable position to hold.

That happened in the 80s. The Mexican people are ruled by drug cartels.

Oh I agree. And those drug cartels are telling Mexican leaders to fight this wall. The Trumpian Wall is not my first choice, but it may force Mexico to resolve their own internal issues, it may be bloody

Are you kidding? I guess the government can compensate businesses for the 30 second search they had to do.

I'm sorry, your SSN is not valid, so we cannot hire you.

So, keeping in mind that they already have it in their process to send rejection emails (or calls,) we're literally adding seconds to their vetting a candidate for employment. I do not find a law requiring workers be here legally to be burdensome. They need not contact authorities and the government already knows who works for whom. Why they aren't using that data already to find undocumented workers is beyond me. Oh, wait, it's not... they don't want to fix the problem.

We know who all the vegetable and fruit picking companies are. Really not difficult to go to the owner and ask to see their employment rolls.

The reality is, Carlus, that if we wanted to fix this problem, we would. It would be completely inexpensive and pretty damned effective. If you can't get work besides makeshift work for cash/odd jobs, you're not going to see floods of them coming here. The reason we don't want effective immigration policy is because the people who own Congress Creatures like cheap labor.

C'mon you guys. Really. We're spending $20 billion on an ineffective boondoggle, because, you know, it'll make us safer.
Account abandoned.

This sometimes happens when it's to fight communism. I used to think that was fucked but now I realize they were right to implement these covert operations. Although I think mistakes were made in most of not all cases the goal was to stop communism as it's a shit system for anyone wether it be wheat farmers in Ukraine or banana farmers in El Salvador.

At any rate that has little to do with our current demographic crises and to those that would think it's not: I'm on the fucking front line. It is, and it's coming for you. If you think people are unhappy when they are a minority just imagine how magnified that becomes when it's done in their own country and there is nowhere to go. Think on that for a moment. "White lash" indeed.

It's always been more about the aesthetics for me anyway. Put it in concrete for us southerners so we vote him back in and the Republicans learn how to keep an electorate. Your based Mexicans that can outwork us white boys are a myth and you know it.
