Just saw The Beyond on Netflix.

Seriously, one of the best sci-fi movies ever made. Very very enjoyable.

Why is it under 5 on IMDB?

It's not perfect, I just really enjoyed the plot.

Anyone have any great horror movies for Halloween? I try to watch a horror movie a day in October, so I’ve seen a few. Here’s a list of some recent ones I’ve watched.

Ones that SUCK:
Mother!
The Houses October Built
A Quiet Place
Hell House
Take Shelter
The Descent II
The Ring II
Rings
The town that Dreaded Sundown
Creep
The Rezort
The Devil’s Candy
1922
Southbound

Good ones:
Train to Busan
The Crazies
The Girl with all the Gifts
The Witch
The Invitation

As I said, those are just the ones I’ve watched recently, which is why many of the classics and popular ones don’t appear. There’s also a list of ‘ok’ ones I didn’t publish, stuff like It Follows, creepshow 2, and the Ritual.

So who has a good horror movie I may have missed?

I don't get why people do the movie thing for Halloween.

All those are good, and I’ve seen them.

Classics I liked include The Shining (Kubrick), The Ring, Seven, Fallen, The Blair Witch Project (for its originality at the time), Halloween, Let the Right One In, Abrams Stokers Dracula, Noght of the Living Dead, The Hills Have Eyes, Evil Dead, Evil Dead II, 28 Days Later, Creepshow, The Host ... stuff like that.
