Re: Historical Arguments and Debates
I know about the different peoples being collectively called the Sea Peoples. I don’t think I have heard the Hebrews mentioned as one of them before. I want to know more about that theory.

Re: Historical Arguments and Debates
It's like this..
We are all sitting in what is a virtual pub. A few of us are having an interesting discussion about various theories to an historical mystery.
You hear one brief statement and, without a fucking clue what that person was talking about, you screamed "that's fucking stupid; you're fucking stupid!!", followed by throwing beer and peanuts all over the pub.
Then somebody tells you to stop behaving like a cunt, and you act shocked and victimized somebody would say that about you. Right about then your drunk, tubby boyfriend comes in and doubles up on your shitty behavior.
Next week we will all be here in pub still. But now you and your boyfriend, having sobered up and forgotten all about this, will lament how "others" are shitting up the pub with abusive behavior.
And that's about the state of affairs.

Flipowitz was the guy who knew most about it. I wish he were here to explain it better.Hastur wrote: Wed Aug 22, 2018 2:09 pm I know about the different peoples being collectively called the Sea Peoples. I am at the gym now, and will get back to it later, but you can find more (if I remember correctly) by looking up theiries connecting the Hyksos with Hebrews.
Basically all those semitic peoples really came from the same place, in in this age they offered themselves up as mercenaries. But the mercenaries became Invaders and conquerors after a while. The Sea People's who actually sailed in boats (as rage cunt put it), we're Philistines and probably Canaan, among other groups. Hebrews were mostly infantry, fighting for the Egyptians. They were slaves in the same sense that Jannissaries were slaves to the Sultan.

Re: Historical Arguments and Debates
I am at the gym posting between sets, but I found this in a brief search:
http://orvillejenkins.com/peoples/hyksosandhebrews.html
Remember, Hyksos were among the Sea People. It was not just bronze age Vikings. These people had large land armies too.
This stuff went on for centuries too. It wasn't like they came out of nowhere. I think they evolved along the peripheries of various civilization's, selling themselves as mercenaries and possibly even traders, etc.

As soon as you bring the Bible into a historical debate, I’m out. That’s like quoting the Onion on current events.

Re: Historical Arguments and Debates

Okay, bye.
You were never part of this discussion other than throwing beer and peanuts all over the place, so I am not sure what you think you are exiting since you have no idea what we are discussing to begin with, but whatever.
Didn't even know who the Hyksos were and that some historians connect them to the Hebrews, but you decided to tap out. Probably for the best.

You posted exactly one source, tying his argument directly to the FUCKING BIBLE. Nothing to do with religion, of course.Speaker to Animals wrote: Wed Aug 22, 2018 6:46 pm This has nothing to do with religion, you fucking moron.
