Better post your data to prove your points or STFU.
I'm pretty fucking tired of all the civilian myth's they keep repeating about military folks. I've heard them all....................
- Too dumb to do anything
- Only choice for the poor
- They're War Criminals
- They are broken mentally because of their service
Time for fucking Civilians that have never served to STFU about all the story they tell each other to make themselves feel better.

- Personally, I would never call them dumb. I've seen the wonders that military men are capable of, Chuck Yeager is a legend where I grew up and I regularly see the B-2 and other aircraft making rounds in the skies.C-Mag wrote: Tue Jul 03, 2018 5:46 pm I'm pretty fucking tired of all the civilian myth's they keep repeating about military folks. - Some validity to this, there are plenty of poor people that were short on other options, I know a few. It's no big deal, hardly an insult to people that made something of themselves through the military, I would imagine.
- And some, I assume, are good people. Not to say there are large percentages of war criminals running through the ranks of the military, because I don't think that's the case, but military men are still human, and I know how impulsive humans can be with their actions when they're pushed to the extreme limits that soldiers are put under.
- Is that 22 veteran suicides per day statistic still accurate?
Lots of pro-military voices on this forum. I've pro-military too, I would hate for it to come off like I'm a shrieking Code Pink protestor (even though I do applaud them for staying consistent through the Obama years). There's a tendency I find in military types to defend their own tribe and the actions of the Armed Forces a little too strongly. I come from a military family and a military community, I know the sacrifices that are made for the betterment of our society, but it's insulting to be dressed down as a civilian when it comes to discussing the military. I don't need to be in the military to criticize them any more than I need to be a hashtag gay trans queer to criticize hashtag gay trans queers.
I'll be damned if the US military isn't responsible for some horror shows in my lifetime. But oh well, better there than here, I suppose.

I am not running down military people, or saying that they're stupid. I am disputing this nonsensical claim that the superhumans among us all choose military service, or that they're the best and brightest in our society.C-Mag wrote: Tue Jul 03, 2018 9:43 am It has a lot to do with it. Ask yourself why the 1% that is most mentally adept and Physically fit, live the cleanest and most active lifestyles choose to be on the working end of US Foreign Policy.
We have given folks the option to choose service or not since 1975. What we have found out is, is the genetically superior humans in our society choose service for the inferior 99%.
I have said before that I feel bad for them. They're used as cannon fodder by the MIC for pointless wars. It's an incredible waste of resources and talent.
