Yes.
Are they not the most attractive shipping containers ever?
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Stunning.

I'm looking forward to hearing about what works, and what doesn't.

Those are very cool. People are doing amazing things with shipping containers these days. Do an image search - there's some really cool stuff going on.

There are plenty of places that don't get tornadoes.

No I don't. The apprenticeship takes at least 5 years and there are precious few opportunities to obtain one.
I do help with the threshing and I try to learn as much about thatching as I can from farmer Paul.

The panels were produced by several thatchers from 4 different varieties of wheat and then erected by a master thatcher who made the ridge to join them all together.
The containers are oriented East/West so that the sides face North and South to provide info on high v low sunlight hitting them.

It's a unique project which has not been tried anywhere else before and the knowledge gained will be invaluable for future generations of thatchers.
