My new EDC. Swedish make. Finnish style. I bought it for fishing but since my auto Boker has a bent clip I'll just carry this for now. Pluses: it's clearly visible unless its nestled in my pocket just right. Quick draw. Old proven fighting knife.

Minuses: limited mobility and drawing ability unless you want to risk filleting yourself in defense.

Ah, the Puuko is what it draws from. I don't think its anything particular about the basic knife that gives it such a nasty reputation so much as the Finnlander of old's willingness to use it at the drop of a hat.

Morakniv is about as Swedish you can get. Nordic knives are similar but you wouldn't say that Jack Daniels is a typical Canadian whiskey, would you?
