The website I swiped it from said 3, upon further inspection it looks like 2 and a half, no? Full rotation twice then ends halfway around in darkness. I feel dumb trying to figure this out, you've all got me confused

Just count the number of times the day cycle repeats before it resets.
That's from geosynch, so the day night cycle is synchronized with the surface anyway. You only need to look at the number of times the terminator passes over a unique location.
