Did you get a <2005 Schrade USA knife or a >2005 Chink? Makes a wee bit of difference; I'm hoping for the best.
Yes, definitely gotta get em pre Walmart sell out.
it's probably an early 90's special edition. Has a white handle, which I hadn't seen before, in the original display box.

Never skinned an animal, that will change.

Those old Schrade scrimshaw handles are nice.

Well, you got me looking, and I'm glad you did.
Checked some blade forums, sounds like these were Limited Edition knives from the '83-'85 time frame.
The 1985 SC502 Scrimshaw, by F. Giorgianni. Note the SAS-17 sheath included.

Hard to believe these are legal. Liberty I suppose.

Looks nice but there is that tell tale secondary bevel again telling me it’s a cheap mass produced factory blade.

Campare with this:

Not all of us get checks from the state owned oil company, mister money bags.

Some of us have to make do with a measly casino check.

Scandi grind sucks ass unless you are some Viking turnip farmer who literally has to sharpen shitty knives on whatever rocks are laying about.

Complaining about more sophisticated edges and grinds is like a musket owner complaining about complicated receivers on modern sporting rifles.

I was wrong. Nothing cheap about that knife. I just don’t like that kind of edge I guess. Scandi grind or bust for me.
