Haven't closed these two pages in almost a week. Don't feel like saving them. My bookmarks need cleaning up. I might read them someday.

That is exactly what a disruptive agent would ask...

Well that second link was horrifying, thanks for that.
I have no plans on blowing anything up, but that kind of power is bound to lead to a glorious police state. All hail whiner-in-chief.

Thanks for this thread, dukey. I'm closing up tabs from my morning reading, and just didn't want to just delete this one. I recall the morning of the Challenger in very vivid detail. The B/W 13 inch set, what class I was missing to watch the launch (for a child of Apollo, it was still a thing in 86), smoking a cigarette, drinking coffee, where everything was in my dorm room, all of it.

I used to stick stuff in random places on the DCF, thinking, well if nobody cares to read it, I at least stuck it somewhere I can search for it later. That worked out great. :goteam:

I agree with you. It's scary to turn this much power over. Things like this is why I can't get behind any type of political philosophy of growing government. I don't care if it's a Christian Theocracy or Social Democracy. Sooner or later you are going to get a Stalin who will use these tools to kill people enmasse put you in FEMA camps, etc.
Right now, about 30% of the country fear it is the Cheeto Hair God, for the last 8 years 30% of the country believed it was the Gay Hajji form Kenya. Personally I think we have a ways to go before we see that Stalin figure.

I view our generations job is to push back at the power and tools being put in place that will be implemented in my Grandkids time.
