Shit, you recieved Danish national news before I did (I don't get notifications or anything). It's not a total lockdown looks like, though. Stores will still be open, but restaurants, malls and shopping centers are encouraged (though not required) to shut down. The public unemployment agencies are likely to be shut down, and so are schools and universities apparantly, as will other government agencies. Generally, private companies get a pass on being required to do anything.
I figured this was bound to happen a couple days past. Too many cases too quickly bound to overburden the hospitals, yet it's really just the prospect of having to be forced off work for 14 days that's worrying most people, not the actual illness which is at worst a bad case of flu. And I have a nagging suspicion that this will influence the meeting I'm supposed to attend next week, about a combined internship/regular paying job (one job function is internship, other regular paid) at a museum I've worked at before.
Annoying shitty timing. Hopefully we'll all get the bug soon, but evenly spaced out, so we can get on with usual day to day business. So far, no one's been panic buying toilet paper in my local supermarket, at least.

I've just gone back to work (at a pub) after a 4 month break just in time for trade to die off with people staying at home. Suffolk got its first case of coronavirus yesterday in Bury St Edmonds about 40 miles away.
I went to my local supermarket today and the shelves were well stocked, still got loo rolls but there was a polite notice saying that customers were limited to 3 units so that there won't be any shortages.
Still only about 450 positive tests here and 8 deaths so far. No restrictions on sporting events etc yet. Most schools are open apart from a few where there were cases of coronavirus after skiing trips to Italy.

Lots of bribes for the impoverished North and a rates holiday for small and medium businesses and tax breaks for employees. Also guaranteed statutory sick pay for anyone who has to self isolate.

I've just gone back to work (at a pub) after a 4 month break just in time for trade to die off with people staying at home. Suffolk got its first case of coronavirus yesterday in Bury St Edmonds about 40 miles away.

They sent an email at midday today, saying all meetings at the museum (which is a museum that owns several other museums) are suspended until end of March. They're also closing the museums for the Easter holiday. The most visited museums, the viking/iron age museums at the Fyrkat and Lindholm Høje sites looks like they'll be closed until the 100+ person restrictions are lowered again. My contract for the regular paying job will begin in May, so hopefully the Health Department restrictions will have been eased. The email from the job said that some of the museum staff, primarily those who work with actual customer/guest interaction, are not going to get any shifts, so they're looking at at least a month of no pay.
With only 450 cases out of 20 million (?), you're doing fine. We got 500+ infected so far, that's counting people who have since recovered and are symptom-free. No deaths. And...*sigh* people are starting to panic buy toilet paper, food, etc. apparantly, according to some TV reports. All the radio and TV warnings explicitly, and repeatedly say that there is no food shortage, and that private companies, including supermarkets are going to stay open. Guess there might be a food and toilet paper shortage if idiots buy twenty times more supplies than they actually need. Hopefully our supermarkets will impose a sensible limit to discourage unnecesary hoarding.
