I tend to agree with Turley about the declaration of emergency under the National Emergencies Act. Where I see trouble is in reliance only on 10 USC 2808 for authority to obtain title to land as needed and to build a wall/fence.

I see some pitfalls under 2808, what about you? Does the wall fit inside that statute?

David French, of course, takes the never Trump approach, but some of the issues under 2808 seem realistic.

My only reluctance is how often the legal system falsely imprisons people.

I think it's too easy to falsely convict.

The justice system is a dumpster fire. LOTS of innocent men in prison for shit, especially crimes of a sexual nature. You can be imprisoned for decades based on nothing more than an accusation.
