Here’s a challenge, let’s both jump out of a plane, me with a parachute, you without, and on the way down we can discuss how things like language, gravity, and life are completely arbitrary and relative. At least, up until impact, that is.

Thank God the rest of us are free to live independent of “what’s good enough for you”. Lord almighty. Fake meat eating nihilists need to retire.

And?

Seriously, I love thinking about the animal that died when I eat meat, but that is really more about the poetry of my consumption. I like thinking that I am absorbing the life force of some lesser creature.

But, if they get the same taste and texture, with all the blood that is fit to print, plus all the same protein and energy per ounce grown in some mad scientist's lab.... what the fuck do I care?

As long as they can't lie about the protein v fat v sodium v calorie content, and I still get the thrill of animal blood, who is getting their panties in a twist over this?
There is more to nutrition than macros.
Loads more. Exercise, positive outlook, et cetera... but what is the essentialist essence of 'meat' that I can't get from a lab cultured ounce of the same materials?
Also a little concept called micronutrients..

Please elaborate.

Shun this fake meat eating relativist.
He doesn’t even believe in words.
It’s a trap.

"Relative" and "arbitrary" are not equivalent terms.

This analogy is exceptionally stupid. Since I know you are not an exceptionally stupid person, I can only assume you know that I am right, have put your foot in your mouth, and are trying to desperately save face with an absurd little allegory.

Not true. I am not familiar with the concept of micronutrients. If it is impossible to get them with cultured meat products, and they are relevant to human nutrition, I am open to changing my opinion on cultured meat.

The guy who is openly pondering “what is meat anyway” ... as if plant and animal cells aren’t significantly different ... is assuming I’m just stupid and covering my tracks.
