I recently did a podcast on the movie "Heathers" and one on a great writer I admire Chekhov and the 1977 film An Unfinished Piece for a Mechanical Piano. Both were fun to do but the Chekhov one should be enjoyed with a glass of Madeira and after you've at least read a short story by the man.
God willing I will be recording one on the classic film Conan and Friday one broadly on the Anglo Empire/Civilization. Nothing too broad you know. LMAO.
Haven't listened yet, but finished the one prior today. Keep it up braj.
Be curious to get Smittys take on the ep. It's an intellectual not military geared conversation but Anglo nonetheless.

ooh, I like the opening, British Grenadiers
but pause here, because the only thing is, it's so quiet, I can barely hear it
if you're coming at the palisades, you gotta bring the noise, crank it up
/production quality

whoa, ya'll gotta work on your radio voice
way too many umms & ahs, you gotta be like a drill instructor
also, don't talk about what you are going to talk about, just go straight into your lesson
the opening is amatuer hour, tighten that shit up
blah, blah, blah, hammurabi say what ?
get to the fucking point, don't blather on

alright, I'm pretty much stopping right out of the gate
I can't even listen to that, it's blathering all over the place, can't even tell what your point is
all stop, fail, back to the drawing board
I'm going to back to grooving
call me when you have an actual lesson to review
that's just two guys prattling on about who knows what
there is no structure, no discipline, you're not focused, you're just blue skying
I can't be bothered to cut into my summer afternoon to listen to that, my audio time is precious
it's just two Millennials talking, their random thoughts disorganized
you gotta have a script, act I, act II, act III
tell a story, lead the listener to a destination, don't just blather on like it's a coffee shop

the rise of the British Empire is not that complex
England was in the throes of civil war
France was the global Hegemon
the Dutch Regent, William of Orange invades Britain with the printing press
the English decide to adopt him as their Constitutional Monarch
Westminster Parliament
this establishes the first modern state, best for business
then the money flows away from the Crown Heads of confiscation Europe to Britain
Britain becomes the financial superpower, everything else flow from there
the Protestant English & their Lowland Scots allies go on to conquer the world with small government
