It's disheartening, and the extreme party loyalists on both sides make up approx. 60% of the country. I wonder what percentage of the middle 40% that voted Trump already regret their decision .jbird4049 wrote: Just find the most asinine example of the other side, or just wholesale insulting them with something like the deplorables, and you can show just how good one's own side is.

Hey Penner. I got some bad news.

Penner wrote:http://www.timesofisrael.com/iran-vows- ... lting-ban/“The Islamic Republic of Iran… has decided to respond in kind after the insulting decision of the United States concerning Iranian nationals,” the ministry said in a statement carried by state television.
Trump on Friday signed a sweeping executive order to suspend refugee arrivals and impose tough controls on travelers from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.
Iran’s foreign ministry called the decision “illegal, illogical and contrary to international rules.”
It said its own ban on US nationals would continue until the American measure was lifted.
It said it had ordered Iranian diplomatic missions to help Iranians who had been “prevented from returning to their homes and places of work and study” in the United States.

I want to know whether the DNC regrets rigging the primary yet, or if they still think it was a good idea.Kath wrote:It's disheartening, and the extreme party loyalists on both sides make up approx. 60% of the country. We are so used to seeing polished politicians that when a normal person (Trump) comes along, he seems scary. But if you think about it, he acts like your friends, he acts like the people who post to this forum, he acts like someone who has off-the-cuff conversations. It's odd how we trust our friend to pick us up at the airport even though they're unsophisticated buffoons. I've read that the early presidents were also goofy, profane, uncouth men. The era of modern politics has made it so that only a certain kind of untrustworthy but smooth person can be elected.
I still say Trump is a nightmare, but I was sick of having Android Presidents.
