I've talked with people who lived under different Communist regimes, but these are stories they never told me. The would allude to people being dissapeared for the trivialist of shit, an extra pint of milk or something. But they never went into detail, of course, why would they.

To me it seems like peak evil was reached somewhere during this time period.
No doubt Maoist China was on the same scale or worse...

Cooper, like many sane humans, is annoyed by smug dismissals of legitimate concerns.
He may have dropped the gloves, but he remains lucid, from the look of it.
Cooper is one of the great ones.

This Arab journalist reports that Afghan security forces negotiated a surrender because the other option was facing a Taliban w/backing from Pakistan, Iran, Russia & China - who had an interest in removing the US puppet and have deals w/the Taliban to preserve their interests.
