I've been wanting to start with Model warship combat but I can't convince anyone else to join me and I don't think there is any active clubs around here.

Looks like it would be right up my alley.





The kits are a bit pricey but not prohibitively so.

My friend does that. The cannons shoot ball bearings. I went once to watch but nothing got sunk.

I could barely see what was going on through binoculars. Maybe if there was some fire? Things burning are quite visible from a distance.
