Trump did nothing wrong. There was no collusion between Trump and Russia. However, due to the narrative being created from selective reporting on leaks Trump was being hampered in his ability govern and he asked Comey to help defend him in light of the fact that Comey had acknowledged to the president that Trump was not under investigation.

After reading Comey's letter it seems that Trump demanded that Comey must be more loyal to him than the law of the land. Well, that is what I interpret the whole thing to be saying. That and that Comey for some reason decided to record like everything right after he talked to Trump- which even according to Comey's own words he never did to any of the other two presidents that he served, which were Obama and W. Bush.

It also seems that Trump did want the investigation against Flynn to just go away, fastly and tried to ask Comey to do it fast and quick. So, this doesn't make Trump look good but then again, let's hear what Comey says. For all, we know he will backtrack on the events of this letter and/or plead the 5th, and then the investigation would cease- which is something that Trumps wants to happen.

Comey doesn't have a leg to stand on, if he didn't consider Trumps words as a problem at the time, he can't credibly come back a month later after being fired and say, oh yeah, that was criminal. He was the head law enforcement official with responsibility to uphold the law. He either didn't do his job or he is painting a different story now.
