Seems the dneiper is a pretty obvious natural border between the two. Let em have it.
Other than smoky joes obvious corruption payoffs, I see no reason for the western world to care about this.

the result would be a New Cold War "Trace" on the Dnieper with NATO & Russia in a standoff
the front then shifts to Belarus and the Sulwalki Gap on the Polish - Lithuanian frontier with Article V
parallel maritime standoffs in the Barents, Baltic & Black Seas
with the standoffs in Moldova, Armenia & Syria then escalating along the same lines
Lockheed Martin shareholders approve

meanwhile over in the East China Sea two Carrier Strike Groups are facing off with a PLA Carrier Task Force
this is less of a concern however, because actually China is bluffing on Taiwan
realistically China cannot take Taiwan by force of arms
it is an exponentially more difficult task to launch an amphibious invasion across the Taiwan Strait
Formosa is a natural fortress, the PLA Navy Marine Corps is not capable of getting ashore
really only the US Marine Corps is capable of taking Taiwan, and they would hard pressed
so the New Cold War with China is more of a strategic confrontation
the theatre war in Ukraine however I find to be highly plausible
it all comes down to terrain, and Donbass to the Dnieper is wide open for a blitzkrieg
the Russians are all about buffer zones, pushing NATO back, without inciting an Article V breach
then employ nuclear blackmail to hold the ground

it just wasn't in his interests to distract from domestic issues, the economy was his bread & butter
in the Democrats case however, they are playing every desperate card they can to ram their agenda through
from smearing their opposition at home as "Domestic Terrorists"
to invoking a foreign enemy for the base to rally against with the Russia Hoax Red Scare
the Democrats are going maximum distraction, so their Coastal Elite masters can plunder the public purse

Doesn’t sound much different and again, not something that anyone cares about, outside of Ukraine and the Oval Office.

I’m referring to the motivation for war, not the concern over it. I can’t fathom how they’re justifying this standoff over a giant wheat field.
