Meh, I'd rather have the autobahn.

Driving 200mph > Auto AR15, all day.

German food in Texas sucks.

Chinese food in El Paso sucks.

Don't several US states have laws against public consumption of alcohol? Probably need to do away with that before anything else. And if you still have such laws, that probably means those laws enjoy some measure of popular support, so.... maybe inquire what that's grounded in?

More aftereffects of Prohibition, in order to get the 21st amendment ratified, all sorts of concessions had to be made to the Dry's in terms of nanny state laws other than Prohibition.

Got rid of the Volstead Act, but had to impose a bazillion micro prohibitions in its stead.

Tru.

In Dixie, support for Prohibition was entirely about the fear of the "Negro with the vote in one hand and a bottle of whiskey in the other"

The Southrons were hardly teetotalers, but the Volstead Act could be bent to the cause of keeping the black man down.

Public consumption means out on the street drinking. In the confines of a restaurant wirh a license or a festival that's sets boundaries and obtains permits you can serve alcohol. Most blue laws remain out of some habit and economic protectionism. There is not one state that beer hall would not be legal in, some counties, cities and townships, sure, but if you have bars you could have beerhalls.

No, it's true that walking around with a beer in Germany is much more legal than it is in the US.

But it's also true that it's much more legal to carry a firearm in America than it is in Germany

And I wouldn't trade my gun for a beer.

Priorities.

I drink at home. Hooligans out on the streets drinking in public, creating a public nuisance, are a far worse poison to society than gun owners who drink at home, and carry in public.

Gun grabbing societies are rife with drunk criminals terrorizing the populace with clubs and knives.

And acid.

Don't forget the acid.

Fuck them.
