Season 7 is awesome too. Dana Delany as the love interest episode one "LA"

"Death and Taxes" is one of the greatest episodes, I call that one Magnum does Miami Vice, Phil Collins "Mama" track.

There is only eight seasons, how can you say it jumped the shark?

It's all wheat, there is no chaff.

Every single episode of Magnum PI is treasure.

If he broke the TV gumshoe mold... I may not have appreciated it at the time.
Only one way to find out...

Crack an Old Dusseldorf and rewatch.
Looking forward to it.

The first season was formulaic, with a shitty intro song. Second season and onward were awesome, except for the death thing.

I'm rewatching the first episode, still stands up, I even like the jazzy intro song, nostalgia for the seventies ftw.

I was recently rewatching Diamonds Are Forever and LOLed at this one, surprised they could get away with it:
Girl: “Hi, I’m Plenty.”
Bond: “But of course you are.”
Girl: “Plenty O’Toole.”
Bond: “Named after your father perhaps?”
