HM, did you read the article?
The McMaster - Mattis Team wanted to put 150,000 US Troops into Syria with an end goal of regime change.
Do you think that's what the US should do ?
IMO, Trump should issue an order to have all foreign wars ended, until such time as Congress can reauthorize with a Declaration of War and a Draft
I read the article. The only major complaint seems to be that Mattis and McMaster didn't agree with Trump's military and foreign policy decisions. This was part of the reason they were hired in the first place, their expertise in an office that was ill prepared.
I don't know what the US should do, and, blessedly, it isn't my decision. I understand the case for regime change, and the case for not getting more entangled in the ME. I am not wonkish enough to know the right answer, but I don't think either McMasrter or Mattis were disloyal or traitorous. Nor do I think Trump is wrong for trying to follow his popular mandate for more isolationism.
My issue is with the deranged, manichean, for-or-against-Trump ideology, that views serious people who disagree with him as traitors or 5th columnists.
Whats more deranged. Trump pulling out of Syria, or the US directly involved with regime change with 3 middle east nations and indirectly with at least additional 3 nations...… or is it more deranged to be at war for 17 years with no declaration of war and no victory conditions ?
Your trying to make an argument that Trump is broken mentally because he refuses to stay in Syria. Not discussing whether or not we should be in Syria.

Purge the non-believers!!!
There you go, that's our undercover hack bitch. Who's for war in Syria, who's for slinging nukes back and forth with Russia. Dirty dick that's who.
Your talents are wasted here. You could straw man up a corn field in minutes. Think of all the food wasted in our country every year, without you protecting it.

I agree. Over 350 field and Flag grade military officers were purged by Barrack Obama, including Mattis. No one had concerns then.
This is what I saw. Trump layed out clear goals for US military operations in Syria. Destroy ISIS and the geographic occupation in the region. As much as any terror group can be destroyed, that is complete.
I don't think Mattis is a traitor, or any of these generals. But after 17 years its fair to question the 'Expert' advice. Hell Bobby Mueller sat there in 2002 as an Expert and head of the FBI and testified before Congress and the nation that, "Yes, Iraq and Saddam have WMDs and are funding terror" . How's that fucker a trusted government agent still ?

What you are saying is that I am a better farmer than you without even trying. Oh sweetheart don't be so hard on yourself. If you just apply yourself and maybe just listen once in a while maybe you wouldn't be a colossal fuckup. Read some of the classics. Plato, Machiavelli, Sun Tzu, things like that. You swallow narratives and spit out these phrases based on these false narratives and when called on it, it is they that are strwmanning? Nope, you could prevent some fracking if you dont gaslight, bitch.
