Minorities are frequently the victims of persecution so that combined with the sheer amount of hatred being drummed up against white people will end badly methinks. It's too late though the damage is done. Most of you will find out what it's like to live in Houston in another decade or two. I'm just getting by and can't be bothered with it all anymore.
It's going to be like South Africa, I think. People are being stupid to believe all these nonwestern, nonwhite immigrants are going to treat us the way we treat them. This multiculturalism stuff will go down in history as one of the stupidest, most suicidal things a society ever undertook.
No it won't- who writes history?
The people a thousand years from now who rebuild civilization after the collapse.

From a survival perspective sympathy is more irrational.
Yet one of the few animals we are certain is capable of it dominates the entire planet. Must have some survival merit.
Whether or not it has merit towards survival is a different question altogether. It certainly has merit, but having merit doesn't make it more rational. Both sympathy and fear can be rational or irrational depending on the exact circumstances. In a survival circumstance though, it is more likely that being sympathetic will result in death than being fearful. In all circumstances being calm and level headed is the recommended state of being.

In all domesticated human circumstances, sure. If you're out camping and spot a bear, you should most definitely be scared to shit, and use the attendant system boost to get out of there. If you're in a bad neighborhood, you should be hyper-aware of what's around you. If you're not sure about eating something that looks undercooked, your anxiety about it will override your hunger, and save you from a belly ache.

Being calm and level headed does not mean not fearful. It just means don't panic.

Well, panic is bad, but that adrenaline surge can get you out of some tight spots. No way you're fighting your way out of a mugging or escaping a riot without it.
Fear points your mind in the direction of that switch that puts you in a killing rage, though. It's kind of useful if you learn to control it so you can flip that switch.
