I forgot about the ricin. That lasted a day in the news and wasn't even the main headline. I didn't see any calls for civility or for Democrats to tone down their rhetoric after that.

Did a search on the recent cases of Ricin sent to Trump and other officials. Not a single call for civility nor a single editorial on how Democrats calling for them to be "tougher" on Republicans to be found. NOT A ONE.

I don't trust our media at all. Now with this bomb scare I fully expect any details that do not fit the medias narrative to be buried.

I kind of intellectually/rationally etc. knew that post high school mid college. But I didn't fully appreciate it until 3-4 years ago. Also I really am amazed that most the country apparently though "yellow" journalism and tabloids and propaganda was only thing way back when. Cognitive dissonance, right? But really i am amazed more people weren't aware and vocal about at least until the mid 1990s and mostly probably only b/c of "talk radio". Weird shit really. Why do thin that was / is so, if you agree with my above view for the most part?
