You seem like a pretty well-read guy. I’d imagine you’re familiar with the realities of civil warfare.
Familiar with life under the control of Soviets as well.
Which do you think was worse?
Pro tip: Which one lasts longer and kills more people?

It’s better to die a free man than live as a slave.

Hey man, if you think the "stasi" is real, and anybody out there wants you in a "camp," well sorry -- no time for the ramblings of a crazy person at the nice folks table.
Dan wouldn't last 10 minutes defending an episode with level of shitte on his forum back around 2012 or so. Neither would any fanbois.

AOC and other progressives have a new goal: Silence the press
So ... much ...
NOT ... taking ... things ... to ... the ... extreme.
See Comrades? Much better than pushing back against this. We wouldn't want to go over that brink, now, would we? Compliance is peace. Compliance is harmony. Do the good thing.

2 minutes straight of MSM talking about killing the President. I'm so glad that Dan is right about not taking it to extremes. Phew.

No kidding.
There was nearly malicious tone in his voice for his fellow Americans.

See, I think Dan always counted himself among the flag wavers in the country. Trump's election was a hard wake-up call for him that he wasn't who he thought he was, so he ran to the other camp, and now counts himself among their number because they're the True Patriots. He's adopting their methodology with regards to dealing with people they disagree with.
I think we all forget that Dan was a radio guy, and was basically an Erick Erickson-tier host. He is interested in history, can read long books, and got in on the podcasting thing early. Those are the keys to why he was successful. He doesn't add that much to the discourse anymore. He basically set the foundation for my current view on history/politics, but once you figure out his shtick, you can reproduce it yourself.

Very insightful analysis.
I think Dan de facto influenced all his listeners, me included. What's very interesting to me now is that there are no podcasters I take seriously; I can see through their faulty reasoning, they aren't wise, they drown whatever insight they have in a flood of words because they like to hear themselves talk.

I get the feeling from Dan it's safe to podcast on current events again.
Pretty fucking cowardly.

Yup. That was garbage in and a waste of time.
His points at the end about coming back from the brink were pretty good. I agree that nobody really wants to take this to the extreme.
If you don't want it going to the extreme then they shouldn't be taking extreme actions, but the left is getting more and more extreme, not less, even though they've won everything.
There's now 26,000 national guard troops in DC for the inauguration... Why do you think that is? Do you think that if you won an election free and clear, totally legally, no fraud, with the backing of the majority, you'd be so concerned about crushing dissent?
