What was interesting about it was that it was a film made by unbelievers. Their basic premise was, why not make a film that just presupposes this belief system is true? Of course, the liberals were not happy with that idea one bit.

I really weak on the Spanish Civil-War, I know a few tidbits.

Spain really boned Hitler when they didn't come into WWII on the side of Germany and Italy.

I know that some Americans went to Spain and fought Francos Forces under the name of the American Legion I believe.
