Favorite is Kubrick's Space Odyssey, but very close to that singularity is a celestial orbit which includes the likes of The Godfather I & II, Lawrence of Arabia, Apocalypse Now Redux, and The Last of the Mohicans.Kath wrote: Mon Mar 04, 2019 1:16 pmCan you narrow down to one favorite of all time? If forced to choose, I'd go with The Great Escape. I'll watch it with you today, even if I saw it yesterday.Smitty-48 wrote: Mon Mar 04, 2019 1:11 pm I only rewatch movies, but I've rewatched my greatest of all time list dozens of times.

I can't re-watch them until I watch them, first. I gave The Sopranos several episodes before giving up. I gave Breaking Bad two episodes. The Wire got three or four, I think.StCapps wrote: Mon Mar 04, 2019 1:20 pm you are missing out if you've never rewatched Breaking Bad, The Wire or The Sopranos.
Yawn.
Why are all the Gods such vicious cunts? Where's the God of tits and wine?

You got to stick with them Kath, you're only hurting yourself by not watching them. Very foolish.Kath wrote: Mon Mar 04, 2019 1:21 pmI can't re-watch them until I watch them, first. Right? If I just get through the numerous unwatchable episodes...... lolStCapps wrote: Mon Mar 04, 2019 1:23 pm You got to stick with them Kath, you're only hurting yourself by not watching them. Very foolish.
You have a strange definition of foolish. Watching tv shouldn't be punishment. I watch tv for entertainment. It grabs me or nah. For those three, it was nah.

Breaking Bad does not have a single unwatchable episode, neither does The Wire. The Sopranos has a few episodes that aren't so hot. If you aren't entertained by those shows, and you are entertained by Game of Thrones, your taste in television is complete garbage. Game of Thrones is alright, but it's nowhere near the best show currently airing on television, while the other three are the greatest TV dramas of all-time, the gap in quality between them and GoT is massive.Kath wrote: Mon Mar 04, 2019 1:26 pmRight? Your opinion on this is noted, but not at all valuable to me, at this time.StCapps wrote: Mon Mar 04, 2019 1:27 pmBreaking Bad does not have a single unwatchable episode, neither does The Wire. Pretty much any Kubrick, Lean, Coppola, Scorsese, Mann or Scott movie, I have rewatched many times.
I'm all about the director, my latest favorite is Denis Villeneuve, he's the Canadian Ridley Scott

Well considering your taste in television is so trash, I'm glad you don't value my opinion, just shows I'm on the right track. If you can't enjoy the greats, that's pretty sad, but the only one suffering is yourself, you just don't know it.Kath wrote: Mon Mar 04, 2019 1:29 pmYour opinion on this is noted, but not at all valuable to me, at this time.
You don't understand how good TV drama can be unless you've seen at least one of The Sopranos, The Wire and Breaking Bad. It's like living in a TV drama cave if you haven't watched at least one in it's entirety.

That being said, because I rewatched it so many times as a boy, I would guess that The Empire Strikes Back is the movie I've seen the most times.
