Yes, yes, but the fact that they fought is usually forgotten by most Americans.
And bad for white people. Except for the party members running the show.
In every major war an awful lot of men from the elite families served. Heck, there would be vets scattered throughout Congress. Nowadays, you're right. I guess it's considered something only suckers.

You've seen black soldier movies before. It isn't unique. It's been done for the civil war. It's been done for WWII. Finding a tiny little niche in between doesn't make it unique. It's a movie about a bunch of black soldiers fighting for America, and they will surely make the point that not a single American in the entire country wanted them or wasn't racist. It's been done before.

Not for nothing, but for me to strawman you, I'd have to actually see some sort of argument.

I just saw an opportunity for a little mockery, and I took it... because I am petty.

WW 1 is fairly unique. I prefer it to an another movie or tv series about a commonly used WW 2 setting. Colonial France taking them up under their wing could be handled interestingly.

The WWI setting could be unique if that were the focus. I have no confidence that it will, but it's possible. You don't do a movie about an all black, or all asian, or all jewish anything without the intent being to focus on that group rather than the setting.

If the intent were to focus on the setting, then they'd just make a movie about any group or many groups.
