The Alchemist was a good listen.

It's got me looking for omens.

Now we're on to the alchemist
Is that Tad Williams again? When I finish storm of steel I can read a fiction again. I'm trying to go one non fiction to one fiction because I think reading nothing but fiction most my youth is what fucked me up in the head.

No it's not Williams.

Basically, dude goes on adventure; seeks his fortune.

Not just to show off Martin's image capacity awesomeness, but it's nice.

^holy shit I'm impressed
I got a 2008 fiction history drama deal about Rome from good will. Looks promising. Hopefully it's like HBO's Spartacus.

Here's some grad school level reading for several of you Hashists. :P :goteam:

From the estimable MIT Press:

Communism for Kids

Once upon a time, people yearned to be free of the misery of capitalism. How could their dreams come true? This little book proposes a different kind of communism, one that is true to its ideals and free from authoritarianism. Offering relief for many who have been numbed by Marxist exegesis and given headaches by the earnest pompousness of socialist politics, it presents political theory in the simple terms of a children’s story, accompanied by illustrations of lovable little revolutionaries experiencing their political awakening.

Nice books! Blood Meridian is great, and the Conspiracy Against the Human Race is one of those books that stays in your head long after you read it.

You've got some heavy hitters in that pile. I read Zarathustra in High School, although I probably didn't fully appreciate it then. I noticed you have got Nozick's Anarchy...Utopia book. You should try to find Rawls Theory of Justice book. It is kind of the opposite of Nozick. Even if you don't agree with either author, they both have contributed heavily to the philosophy of governing, equality and liberty.
