Tampa is basically an older more grizzled version of the Loafs

Although Tampa doesn't have a Matthews and the Loafs don't have a Hedman

Otherwise they are mirror images, with Tampa as the ghost of future Loafs.
Tampa are in a solid 2nd place in the Atlantic division, 11 points ahead of the Leafs (after tonight) so an away win is a great result for the Leafs.
Tampa hadn't lost at home for 73 days.
After Saturday's shitshow this is encouraging, isn't it?
Andersen played well saving 26+ shots.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

No.

They simply played another Shame Game

The problem with the Loafs is doing it for more than one or two games before collapsing again

Well there goes the playoffs. Maybe the Hockey Gods will even pile on the Leafs and have what's their face win the draft lottery with their pick, just to rub it in. That would be an epic burn.

I wouldn't say that, they are apparently getting both Rielly & Ceci back in March

They can't use it as an excuse, they can make the playoffs if they play right

There's only Florida in their way, and it's not like Florida doesn't have problems

They need to beat Florida tomorrow night, no more room for error, they simply have to stop shitting the bed

Their problems really all start up ice, with the constant turning the puck over one and done rushes

They've shown that they can play a puck management game against the St. Louis, Pittsburgh & Tampa

It really comes down to can they string those efforts together rather than only in a Shame Game

If they play right, the confidence will come and they will score enough to make it

If they don't play right, having Muzzin wouldn't have made any difference anyways, he can't save them

Basically the Big Four have to earn their pay at this point, they have no more wriggle room to swan about

In terms of the defence, it's always rested on Reilly not Muzzin

Like if Rielly is not fully healed and back on his game, then they were screwed all along

You're not getting very far in any playoff without your 1D playing big minutes like a stud, that's on Rielly

If he's not even capable of doing that down the stretch run to get them in, then this wasn't going anywhere at all

The Leafs strike me as a team who needs wriggle room, and doesn't have it. Only Florida choking can save them now, a legit possibility, but still, Reilly best be back in early March.

I think they will get in, just because they are feeling the heat, they are now starting to play desperate, because Toxic Leafs Media is castigating them

It's good thing they got Calle Rosen back, as they actually need him now

We'll see what he can do once and for all, he's got his Calder Cup Championship coach, so he can't say he's not going to be given a chance to play serious minutes if he can handle them
