Which is why we need to wait until 2023 when the Republican majority in the house are all in their seats and hopefully the Republicans have the Senate as well. Otherwise this is a moot point.
We need to think of something, because if we don't...we as a country are fucked.
We’re basically as fucked as a porn star bent over naked in front of a Frat house on a college campus.
Still doesn't mean we stop trying to correct this ship. As long as there are enough of us trying we can weather this until we can right this ship.

The last 30 years has been an abnormal period of the history of humanity. It is rare for there to be such a single dominant force, in fact I would estimate the only other time this has happened was during the Mongol Empire. It would have taken a miracle of leadership for it to last much longer than it has. The reality is when you have no competition you get soft and lazy. That is America and the West right now. Having some competition will be good for us.

I fully agree with that, but if we don't get "hard" fast, we are going to go the way of Rome, and rightfully so. The question is are we beyond the cliff, or still staring over the edge wondering if we should take the step?

While true, the timescale is so compressed that it prevents any prediction. The Roman Republic and the Mongol Empire lasted WAY longer than 30 years.

It’s hard to say whether this is a mere hiccup or the quickest collapse of a world empire in history.

For the quickest collapse of an empire, see Alexander the Great. His empire didn't last much beyond his death.

Solid point. Wasn’t really long enough to be any kind of societal collapse though - just a sudden change of warlord.
