Alex Jones hasn't been banned from the internet he's had content removed from private companies.
Presumably you accept it when Facebook removes ISIS recruitment videos without crying "freedom of speech".
If companies find his lies and incitement to hatred fall outside their codes of decency are you going to force them to show his content? How are you going to do that without resorting to the hated regulations everybody dislikes so much.
Bit of a sticky wicket for the right this one...

You failed to answer the question.
Does a business have the right to refuse service or not?

Unless it refuses on grounds of race, sex, religion or sexual preference it can refuse service to anyone, especially when it considers that person to be damaging their brand.
It's a public utility with government oversite. Free Speech must be upheld. This is not about a mom and pop cake shop in one town. They are a regulated under US Law on the conduct and organization of business corporations, which are required to promote fair competition and access for the benefit of consumers. Furthermore, the US Government utilizes these digital communication giants.

When they are almost solely censoring the free speech of a certain group it falls under illegal restrictive practices. More or less they are telling niggers they can't eat at the counter, it's only for elite whites.

So, NO, I don't believe this type of Censorship is Legal, nor should it be allowed.
Now see, you are wrong here. They are not ISP'S, they are not monopolies, you can live a good life, let's be honest probably a better life without it. Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, spotify the whole thing arent and will never be utilities. Utilities dont require other utilities to be useful. I need electricity, and an ISP and I may not have a choice in that arena, they are utilities, but what computer I buy and what websites I visit are a choice. They are not utilities.

I'm not necessarily for banning ISIS videos.
That being said, the DOD has a role to play when you are actively at war with someone. Are you seriously equating Alex Jones to ISIS ? BTW, Facebook has left ISIS video up

What codes of Decency do you speak of ?

The codes of decency/conduct which all these companies claim he has fallen short of.
Alex Jones has declared war on the establishment, do you think they are going to carry on allowing him to use their weapons to spread his lies?

Well of course they aren't. The establishment doesn't like anyone getting out of line.
Check out what they are doing to Candace Owens

I haven't seen that many White Establishment Democrats surrounding yelling obscenities at a single black person since Birmingham.

The problem isn't that the private companies banned him. That is within their right as has been pointed out. Unless they have been reclassified as utilities but I don't think that is the case.
What bothers me and others is that a group of companies decided to do it at the same time. When businesses that should be competitors do things in concert it is collusion. We want competition in business. Here it looks like a bunch of companies only dared to ban Alex Jones if the others did so as well. Verry bad optics. If it is brought on by a request from the political sphere you can even call it an example of fascism.

There clearly is some sort of concerted effort here. They will only push people farther away.

Dang, Monte rises up and lays a smack down. Trumpsters are in confused disorder.
