Source?

I think he didn't refer to when he (Erdogan) talked about countries supporting the coup attempt. I think the blame was on you then.

Turkey as an ally of the US is better than a foe of the US.

Calling Turks the “future of Europe,” Turkey’s president on Friday implored his compatriots living on the Continent to have multiple children as an act of revenge against the West’s “injustices.”

“Go live in better neighborhoods. Drive the best cars. Live in the best houses,” President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Friday in the city of Eskisehir, while campaigning for a referendum that would solidify his power. “Make not three, but five children. Because you are the future of Europe. That will be the best response to the injustices against you.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan angrily threatened on Friday to open the floodgates of migrants into Europe again, apparently in response to a move to suspend talks on Turkey’s membership in the European Union.

“You did not keep your word,” the president said in a speech here, addressing Europe.

“You cried out when 50,000 refugees were at the Kapikule border,” he said, referring to the border crossing with Bulgaria, one of the busiest in the world even in normal times. “You started asking what you would do if Turkey would open the gates. Look at me — if you go further, those border gates will be open. You should know that.”

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called on Muslims to reject contraception and have more children.

In a speech broadcast live on TV, he said “no Muslim family” should consider birth control or family planning.

“We will multiply our descendants,” said Mr Erdogan, who became president in August 2014 after serving as prime minister for 12 years.

In Monday’s speech in Istanbul, the Turkish leader placed the onus on women, particularly on “well-educated future mothers”, to not use birth control and to ensure the continued growth of Turkey’s population.

Mr Erdogan himself is a father of four. He has previously spoken out against contraception, describing it as “treason” when speaking at a wedding ceremony in 2014.

He has also urged women to have at least three children, and has said women cannot be treated as equal to men.

Turkey’s fertility rate is one of the highest in Europe and the country’s relatively young population (compared with other European countries) is still growing. The population is just under 80 million.

It's repeating. Western Europeans are the Byzantines of the modern era. The time will come when their daughters are being stolen into rape slavery in order to pay their dhimmi tax, and they will beg for liberation then.

Weird how this shit repeats.

This time we have to move the Bishop of Rome to the New World, though. I think the Euros don't deserve it.

Look. Turkey's bid for EU membership is dead and buried. Which is great news. That's the big thing here.

The quarreling that Erdogan is having with the Dutch and German shows it clearly.
Erdogan has given the EU the perfect reason not to continue any membership talks. Period.

And do remember Erdogan's harsh rhetoric against the US too, starting from blaming you being behind the coup.
And the charges and ramblings continue, for example with the Turkish Prime Minister going after the US and Trump:
The United States risks major damage to its relationship with NATO ally Turkey if the U.S. includes Kurdish forces in the fight to retake Raqqa, the Islamic State group's de facto capital, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said Thursday. "If the U.S. were to prefer terrorist organizations over Turkey in the fight against IS, that would be their own decision, but that wouldn't be something we would consent" to, Yildirim told The Associated Press.

The prime minister also took issue with President Donald Trump's use of the phrase "radical Islamic terrorism" and said "we would be actually happy if our friends were to be a bit more cautious about this issue." In an earlier exchange with visiting foreign journalists, Yildirim said ties between the two countries would be significantly undermined, though he declined to name any specific steps Turkey — a member of the U.S.-led coalition fighting IS — might take in response. In the past, Turkey has hinted it could cut off access to Incirlik air base, home to coalition warplanes.

I don't think anyone should listen to what he has to say. This guy just got done calling the Dutch Nazis and declaring holy war on Europe. He's pretty retarded and clearly this kind of rhetoric is designed to appeal to his sub 80 IQ supporters.

I'm missing the old Kemalist Turkish military, that kept in line the Turkish politicians that got too religious and was the backbone of Turkish secularism. Now that has been cut away. Where that country goes from there, I don't know. Wouldn't want it to go the way of Iran.

Turks in general are quite western and rather secular for being muslims. Likely the vast majority respect religion and there are only few atheists (but there are), yet Turks don't exactly follow the Sharia law etc. in masses.

Now it's a feud between the governments, a worse thing would be if the hatred and fear starts grown between the people. Turks have been in for example in Germany from the 1960's onward with now about 1,5 million Turkish citizens in Germany and an estimated amount of 4 million of German nationals of Turkish origin. And simply because Turks work (typically run Kebab places and Pizzerias) and aren't refugees, do dress in western clothes (usually the leather jackets for men) and don't dress their women in Burkha's and aren't seen as a fifth column of ISIS, there is not such fear or hate against them in Europe. At least not yet.

Actually one could argue that for Erdogan those Turkish ex-pats, just like for Putin the Russian ex-pats with EU-passports, are more of a liability than an asset. Now both can speak of themselves as being defenders of them, but likely the actual people aren't so hot about either politician. Hence his urgent need to campaign at them. Because they likely are more against the autocratic rulers than those fellow countrymen in Turkey proper, are far more wealthier than their Turkish counterparts, and simply aren't so backward people you can find in rural Turkey.

Constantinop..., sorry, Istanbul is a lot different place from some Turkish hinterland town in Anatolia.

Anyway, if that discussion would be better to "Europe is boring" thread...

Nunes surely isn't boring.

Let's see what the next twist is.

Do we get to hear Sally Yates?

Stay tuned...

Yeah, they seem totally integrated into European culture. They are just trying to enrich you with their flags and Vagina Snackbar chants.
