ZZZZZZZ . . . zzz . . . , eh, what?

Well the book is far less politically correct than the movie, the movie is actually very sanitized of the really politically incorrect stuff, so you know if the movie has to go, no way the book can be allowed to survive.

I don't think the SJW's have ever actually read the book, but if they do, whoof, there's gonna be some moral panic about it, bet dat.

Although the black characters are quite accurate historically, as per the times, the ostensibly "good" black characters are only "good" because they are wholly subservient to and utterly dependant on their white massuhs, and any black characters who are not, are "bad darkies" "niggers" and "black apes", suffice to say, if Don Lemon ever actually thumbs through this book, that'll be the end of that, anybody caught with a copy will be a "Neo Nazi" by default.

Scarlet O'Hara is pretty hot tho, definitely the sort of broad you'd have wanted to put a dickin' on, back in the 19th century.

I just started Moby Dick today.

"I savvy you. You savvy me. This man sleepy with you, savvy?"

Do Canadian school-kids read Twain?

Twain is overrated. The ending of Huck Finn is so terrible that it ruins the book as well.

Beats me, even when I was in school, it's not like I ever read the books they assigned.

I get it, I get it, cousin.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure you learned at some time, IRL, to read.

If you already know Melville, well, then, congrats on being so freaking clever. If you don't, I'd counsel you to make that download on Amazon your next priority.

Skimming lightly, wheeling still,
The swallows fly low
Over the field in clouded days,
The forest field of Shiloh.

Over the field where April rain
Solaced the parched ones stretched in pain
Through the pause of night
That followed the Sunday fight
Around the church of Shiloh.

The church so lone, the log-built one,
That echoed to many a parting groan
And natural prayer
Of dying foemen mingled there,
Foemen at morn, but friends at eve,
Fame or country least their care:
What like a bullet can undeceive!
But now they lie low,
While over them the swallows skim,
And all is hushed at Shiloh.

:salute: Too bad that Harvey is wreaking havoc on us up here tonight and tomorrow, which is the first day of dove season. You'd like to come down and have some wing shooting with me just down from the church in more clement times.
