The IDF hit a hospital and killed 500. This is enough to set off the Arab world. Apparently, the us embassy in Lebanon and Israeli embassy in Jordan are under attack. Shit is popping off quickly.

Jordan’s government doesn’t want to meet with our potato.

I don't know the specifics about this hospital, but I recall a similar situation years ago when BLUEFOR shot a hospital up. Doctors Without Borders was taking up in there along with militants, and the doctors were screeching about war crimes, despite the fact that the hospital had not been marked under international ROE. My gut tells me this is a similar situation.

It still sucks though. I hate to think of the civilians caught in this mess.

Our old buddy Darryl Cooper gave a clear reason why this isn't going to end well. I'm paraphrasing, but the gist was that Israel can't give in to a two-state solution because of Israeli settlements in Gaza, and Palestinians can't give into their own ethnic cleansing for obvious reasons.

Now, whether or not the Palestinians deserve to be ethnically cleansed is a different matter altogether.

The video looks like a failed rocket launch. I don’t believe it was IDF. Hamas are known for storing munitions under places like hospitals because they know the IDF will not strike those kind of building because of the human shield of innocents.
There is a time for good men to do bad things.

For fuck sake, 1984 is NOT an instruction manual!

If there’s one positive from this mess, we’re getting Unraveling episodes all the time now.

Darryl Cooper of the MartyrMade Podcast joins Scott to discuss the Hamas attacks, the Israeli response and the Israel-Palestine conflict more broadly. They touch on some of the Israeli military and intelligence failures in the lead-up to the Hamas attacks last Saturday. And they mourn the fact that a lot more death and destruction is all but guaranteed to come from this.

Zeihan making a firm call that this doesn’t escalate.

Not sure I agree, but it’s interesting.

There's evidence both ways but Hamas gets the propaganda win never-the-less. It seems the whole intent of their invasion was to cause Israel to do just what they're doing; it was a honey pot.
